⁵ The inhabitants of the earth pollute the earth. They transgress laws and violate statutes. They break the everlasting covenant.

¹⁹ »Do not accumulate large amounts of wealth on earth. This is where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. ²⁰ »Accumulate wealth in heaven where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal. ²¹ Your heart will be where you keep your wealth.

⁴² The Lord said: »Who is the faithful and wise steward, whom his master shall appoint over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? ⁴³ »That servant will be blessed when his master comes and finds him doing so. ⁴⁴ »I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all that he has. ⁴⁵ »If that servant says in his heart, my master delays his coming; and beats the other servants and eats and drinks to excess, ⁴⁶ the master of that servant will come when he does not expect. He will come in an hour that he does not know. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

¹⁶ All things in the heavens and upon the earth where created through him. The things visible and invisible were created through him. Whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him. ¹⁷ He is before all things, and through him all things originate.

¹⁸ »The nations were angry. Your wrath (indignation) has come! It is time to judge the dead, to reward your servants the prophets, the holy ones, and those who reverence your name the small and the great. Time to destroy (exterminate) (eradicate) those who destroy the earth.«

²⁶ Then God said: »Let us make man in our image, in our likeness. Let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth and over all the creatures that move along the ground.«

¹⁰ According to the gift you have received, minister among yourselves, as good stewards of the increased grace (divine influence) (love) of God.

²⁸ God blessed them and said to them: »Be fruitful and increase in number. Fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and dominate the birds of the air. Have dominion over every living creature that moves on the ground.«

¹⁵ Jehovah God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
